Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.

Platforms

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.

However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense is your call.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
