Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, that range is solid.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That will make the platform set once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
Safety
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into how you think about it.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
